I'm just stereotyping about strippers like you are about car salespeople.  I could stereotype and say that there are 4 stripper lies that almost all of them say...

1) "I've only been doing this for 2 days."

2) "I'm putting myself through college."

3) "You are my first lapdance."

4) "I really like you--oh--you're out of money?  NEXT!"

LW, no worries about the post-rebuttal.  Actually, I'm glad you wrote it.

I always see sarcasm as a fine edged scalpel that most people wield like a club.  Some people end up flailing it about like a huge rubber oar.  It usually just sounds like pettiness or meanness when spoken and usually worse than that when written.

I know in my case, I'm not as funny as I think so I often try to refrain from saying a lot of stuff I think is funny.

Anyway, onto positive stuff.

I forgot about one really cool thing and I can't believe I forgot it.

I bought a thoroughbred off the racetrack who had a broken sesamoid and I nursed him back to health.  I never got to ride him.  I ended up going back to uni before his complete recovery.  I had visited him at his new home and he was pretty happy. It was one of the hardest, most frustrating things I ever did but there was eventually some good stuff.  I was pretty sad when I gave him away.

I apologize about messing up your thread--I had no intention of doing that.  

Whip drew "first blood" by joking about GM asking for a bailout.  How the hell can you joke about something that effects so many lives?  Don't you understand how close this country is to being a second class nation again?

I wrote stuff that is/was cool to me--quite frankly, is it "cool" to talk someone out of committing suicide or is it "cool" to save a life?  Or is it "human?"  I had a husband and wife buying a car one time and they had a son who wanted a life-saver (I had a jar of them on my desk.)  "Can I have one?" he asked.  "Sure," said I.  The kid started choking on the life-saver a few seconds later.  They parents--now, they were cool.  The man (a cop) cooly turned to his wife (a nurse) and said, "Do you want to get this one?"  She answered, "Naw--go ahead."  He cooly did the heimlich maneuver and popped the candy out of his son's throat.  I have never seen two people (who obiously had the training and who had been through this before) act as "cool"--cool as in the definition of cool and calm.  Now was it "cool" like the Fonz to do it?  No.

And for the record, I love strippers--they are easy to talk to, always act interested and are usually pretty hot to look at.  And no, I do not go to stripclubs because I will find love, etc.  I go because I love to flirt and have fun with beautiful women who flirt and have fun back (as long as I have the bank-roll, that is.)  Hell--I'm married and don't go anymore (but still love them.)
