Tokyo, Procrastination

Today I got a pedicure from a bunch of fish!

I went to Sea Paradise, a big aquarium in Yokohama.  One part of the rest areas has a cafe with a spot where you can get a pedicure from Dr. Fish!  For 1000 yen (about 10 dollars) you get tiny fish to nibble the dead skin off your feet for 10 minutes.

I had seen this type of pedicure on TV and at a beauty and spa show.  I was pretty excited to try it.  The fish are about 3 to 4 cm long and not very big.

My impressions:

I could barely put my feet in the water for the first few minutes because it tickled too much.  I was laughing and squealing quite a bit and eventually I was able to put my feet in the water.  Basically, it feels like when you have pins and needles because your feet fell asleep.  Even the bigger fish nibbles don't hurt.

How good was the pedicure?  Hmm... I really need a pedicure so at this point I would almost need an appointment with Dr. Shark instead of Dr. Fish.  They did a great job on the cuticles, but seemed to like some parts of my feet more than others.  It was really a strange experience.

I think it's funky so I'm bumpin' it.  And, yep.  Those are my tootsies.

Has no one else at JU had a pedicure from fish?
