Tokyo, Procrastination
I used to chat on line at the "kitchen table" chat room on Anne Mccaffrey's website. When I move back to Tokyo, I didn't have internet for a while so I got out of the habit. Enough so that the new regulars thought I was a newbie. Hmmph.

I was just thinking about that today (while on my Saturday Syndrome Quest for Stimulation) so I went to check it out. Gone! Even the bulletin (i know I spelled it wrong but I'm not getting up to get a dictionary... bulletain?) board is gone!

What happened?

I heard that there was some weirdness a while back where there were some major flame wars going on and I got the impression (no one ever said anything) that when the author mentioned that she didn't appreciate some of the stuff going on, a few people cried free speech and refused to change.

Did some bad apples spoil it for everyone? That chatroom was really nice. Kid friendly, people talked about the books, I even chatted with Anne Mccaffrey herself, onetime.

Too bad it isn't around anymore.

(Now off to go get that drycleaning!)
