Anytime I wanted to listen to music other that with headphones, I've had to turn on the Playstation3 and the TV. I'm not the biggest fan of this method. The PS3 kicks out a lot of heat (nice in winter but evil in summer) and the TV takes up a lot of energy. I've got an iPhone and an old nano that I am going to hook up to some speakers and thus, have I entered the murky waters of confusion. The easiest fix is just to buy a set of cheap portable speakers, plug the stuff in and aw...
I've been really needing some inspiration to get out there and start working out again. The times that I do drag myself to the gym it's okay but I don't put as much into it as I used to. I'm also super careful of those suspicious knee creaks I've been hearing when doing lunges or squats so I don't use weight to do those anymore. Boxing is okay, but the classes are not well organized. I like the sparring bits (the ones I participate in are VERY low key with people I trust not to lose their...
I did some research, the software got some good reviews and it is within my budget. Sadly, Adobe Premier is astronomically WAY out of the budget. The freeware thing got to start looking like a rabbit-hole I couldn't get out of just to save some bucks. I find it hard to get computer help in Japan, so I decided to get what was likely most dependable. I looked up some stuff on the Pixela software that came with my sony video camera. Most of the posts were about people who couldn't get it t...
I have a lot of Sony stuff. Sony Vaio computer, cell-phone, Clie PDA, video camera. One of the things I had liked about the sony was the memory stick. My cell phone also functions as a walkman (you can all sorts of neat things in Japan). It is basically an MP3 cell phone. I can downlowd my music onto my memory stick via computer and then listen to it on my cell phone or my PDA when I am out and about. I like it. For those two things it is great. So when it came to getting a video camer...
I decided to make a video for my Grandpa to show him about what it is like living in Tokyo. I went out, got my video camera and started recording. I got a Sony digicam. Generally I like the machine quite a bit. I even read the directions before I started which made it a little easier to catch on. Still took me a bit though because I'm not so hot with following instructions (making origami is COMPLETELY beyond me). So great, I have my footage. Now it's time to edit! Not great. The nati...
